Mineral Forecast is selected by the world’s largest accelerator
Techstars Accelerator 2023 Promotion:
Techstars Boston Accelerator, one of the world’s largest accelerators, selected twelve startups from around the world from among 800 companies to be part of its 2023 class. All have received support since September of this year with 13 weeks of in-person and online mentoring.
Demo Day will be held on December 6th at Google’s Boston office, where global entrepreneurs will graduate before a select audience of potential investors, mentors, and innovation leaders from around the world.
November 2023 – Mineral Forecast, the Chilean mining technology company co-founded 9 years ago with the aim of democratizing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in mineral exploration, was selected this year—out of 800 applicants—by Techstars Boston Accelerator, one of the world’s largest accelerators, along with 11 other startups to be part of its 2023 class. These include companies from the Philippines, South Korea, India, the UK, the US, and Chile, among others.
Boston Accelerator is the second oldest in the Techstars network, an institution that has been operating since 2009. To date, Techstars has launched 20 unicorns, 109 companies valued at $100 million, created thousands of jobs, and has a cumulative market capitalization of $172 billion.
Javier Muñoz, CEO and co-founder of Mineral Forecast, comments that “being part of Techstars this year has been a tremendous contribution, as it has allowed us to deepen our ties with the greater Boston ecosystem, in addition to receiving excellent recommendations from our mentors. We have had the opportunity to share with the other startups in the class, and together, we have done a thorough review and planning of our companies, all of which seek to impact the world in different fields, ranging from health, labor, and climate to sustainable mining, as is our case.”
On December 6th, a Demo Day will be held at Google’s Boston office, where the 12 international startups will present their graduation pitches to a large audience of potential investors, mentors, accelerator alumni, and representatives of Cambridge’s innovation ecosystem.
“We’ve been in Boston since Monday the 27th preparing for Demo Day. We’re confident that it will go very well, and we’re already appreciating everything we’ve learned this second semester from all the people we’ve met through being part of Techstars. The great thing is that starting on the 6th, we’ll be members of “Techstars Alumni,” a circle of innovators that we’ll be part of for life, so the connections and learning don’t end this year,” explains Arturo Rochefort, COO and co-founder at Mineral Forecast.
Mineral Forecast offers the mining industry AI-based software that enables exploration teams from various companies in the sector to process databases and information generated during the exploration process, thus quickly and safely identifying sectors with high mineralization potential, while simultaneously reducing costs and time.
The other companies that are part of the 2023 promotion are: Amherst Intelligent Security, Aperture
Bio, Biotics AI, Bummock AI, Ediphi, EKOS AI, InStockRx, Linq Labs, Modlee, Rewire Health and RIPA
