WYSIWYG Editor User Guide

Introduction

Welcome to the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor! This tool allows you to easily format content on your website without needing to know any code. Follow the instructions below to make the most of this editor. You will also see a section below the WYSIWYG editor titled Global Modules that allows you to enable which (if any) of the global modules are displayed on this page.

Global Modules

  • Stats Module
  • Quotation Module
  • CTA Module (should always select before publishing, unless there’s a specific case where a CTA is not needed)

1. Basic Text Formatting

  • Bold: To bold text, select the text and click the B icon in the toolbar.
  • Italic: To italicize text, select the text and click the I icon.
  • Underline: Click the U icon to underline selected text.
  • Strikethrough: Click the S icon to apply a strikethrough to the selected text.
  • Font Size: To change the font size, select the text and choose your desired size from the font size dropdown.

2. Paragraph and Alignment

  • Paragraph Styles: Choose from preset paragraph styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.) to organize your content.
  • Alignment: Use the alignment buttons to align text to the left, center, or right.

3. Inserting Links

  • Linking Text: Select the text you want to turn into a link, then click the Link icon (chain link). Enter the URL and click OK.
  • Open in New Tab: To have the link open in a new tab, check the “Open in new tab” box when adding the link.

4. Adding Images and Media

  • Insert Image: Click the Image icon in the toolbar. Upload an image or paste the URL to insert it into the content.
  • Resize Images: Click on the inserted image to adjust its size or alignment as needed.

5. Lists and Bullet Points

  • Ordered List: Click the Numbered List icon to create a numbered list.
  • Unordered List: Click the Bulleted List icon to create a bulleted list.

6. Tables

  • Insert Table: Click the Table icon to insert a table into your content. You can then specify the number of rows and columns.

7. HTML View

  • If you need to directly modify the HTML code, click the HTML button in the toolbar to switch to the HTML view. Make your changes, then return to the WYSIWYG view.

8. Undo and Redo

  • Undo: Click the Undo button to revert to the previous action.
  • Redo: Click the Redo button to restore the most recent undone action.

9. Save Changes

  • Don’t forget to save your changes! Click the Save button at the top of the page after editing.
